The Avis family has been producing Sant’ Elia Extra Virgin Olive Oil on their Filottrano estate, on Italy’s Adriatic coast, for more than 15 years.
The Brasiers bought the adjacent property ten years ago.
The family harvests olives from more than 600 trees on their 24-acre estate by hand each October.
The olives are pressed without chemicals or heat.
Jerry Avis said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been recognised by a global body as prestigious as the London International Olive Oil Competitions.
“We’ve always known there’s something very special about this little corner of Italy, and our olive oil and now it’s official.”
Sant’ Elia Single Estate Extra Virgin Olive Oil is sold online and at delis across the UK, including several in Hampshire.
