Be sure to cook. Welcome back to another episode of Be sure Sure to Cook. Today we’re going to be making a homemade honey cornbread using real corn. So stay tuned and let’s do this. Okay, we’re going to start off with all of our dry ingredients. So let’s start it off. We’re going to be using one cup of allpurpose flour. And I’m just going to sift it a little bit. One cup of sugar. This is 1 tbsp of baking powder. Make sure you get all your baking powder because if you leave any out, it could really affect the rising of your cornbread. A/ teaspoon of salt. Okay, now I’m going to whisk this up. Then I’m going to use one cup of finally grated cornmeal. You can’t have cornbread without cornmeal. And I’m going to whisk this also. Making sure I get this evenly in here. Okay, this is finally. I’m going to set this to the side. Let’s do our wet ingredients. Okay. In this bowl, I’m going to mix honey. 1/4 cup of honey. I got to hold my hand. I don’t want this to fall. There we go. I’m going to crack two eggs. This time, I am looking at my eggs while I crack them. Okay. The second egg, one cup of the milk. This is the 1/4 cup of unsalted butter. With that whisk, I’m going to mix all of this up. Getting those eggs beatated up in there. It’s a little tough. Gotta get that honey worked up in there. Get that out of the bottom. You gotta really whisk that up. Okay, I’m adding a little bit of my dry ingredients in, like half. And I’m going to whisk it up until it gets incorporated. And I add the other half. Then I’mma add the other half. And I’m going to whisk this up till it gets incorporated. And then now it is a little I’m going to add a cup of cream sweet corn. That’s my secret. Then I’m going to mix this all up together. Making sure I get it all in there. That sugar and everything’s in there. And once this looks great, I’m going to grease my pan, which it looks great to me. Okay. Hey, I got a glass baking pan, which I just love glass baking pans. I think it comes out. You can see the brownness of it at the bottom. That’s just my thing. I just got a kick for glass, but you can use any pan you want. I prefer glass. I just like it better. Anyway, I’m going to spray this with a non-stick butter spray because guess what? It’s a butter cornbread and it has to be butter because it’s cornbread. I’m going to take my batter and I’mma put my batter in here. And guys, don’t really over stir that a lot because you don’t want to keep stirring until it just fluffs up. I had already preheated my oven to 350. It’s been preheated for hours now because I was making something else. So, it’s 350. It’s going in a in a 350° for about 20 to 25 minutes. If your oven cooks faster, look at it about 15 minutes. Check it. Just keep checking it every 15 minutes until it’s done. Here we go. Our cornbread. Check it every 15 minutes. Okay, I got me some butter for the cornbread. And all I’m going to do is just roll it around on this hot pan. Okay, now we’re going to cut our cornbread. A big slice or a little slice. I’m just going to cut a nice corn of that cornbread. Don’t forget, guys, it’s got corn in here and it’s going to be delicious. a nice slice of moist cornbread. Now, this is real homemade cornbread using corn. And it’s a cream corn. You want to get a sweet cream corn. So, follow the recipe and you’ll have wonderful cornbread for your friends, your family, and your guests or whoever comes over. Please like, share, and subscribe to my YouTube channel because guess what? I didn’t make this cornbread alone. You and me, we made this together. And if you come back, we can make plenty more dishes. Hey guys, see you next time. Bye.

  1. One in a while I swirl a little honey on top on my cornbread before baking. Soooo good. I’ll have to give this a try when cool weather rolls around

  2. Lord Jesus loves you and wants none to perish but for all to accept His free gift of eternal life. The Lord is coming quickly, He will judge everyone righteously so the evil looses and righteousness prevails, we have all fallen short and done evil but friends, Lord Jesus is offering a free gift! Take it and believe and you will not come into judgement, tomorrow is never promised us on the earth be saved today, it’s free.
“There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.””

“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication,
uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”

“Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”
