Basically the title!! I eat some variation of sourdough and cottage cheese with either sweet or savoury toppings for dinner every night without fail. Always comes to around 300cals (+/- 10) and doesn’t require any major prep or pre planning as I have bread frozen and most of the ingredients I rotate between on hand. Keeps eating simple and I always have something to look forward to at the end of the day!! Feel free to ask any questions, I’m happy to give more details on individual images. Otherwise, I hope this gives at least one person some inspiration to go make themselves some fun toast <3 🍞🍯

Wow. They all look so good! I do like toast every now and again but I have it more as a late night snack. I used to avoid bread because of the high calories but I find that the fiber helps me a lot!

Fun rotation! I eat a sweet bean bar every weekday for breakfast. Sometimes when you find something that fits your lifestyle and tastes, it’s just easiest to keep rotating

what is the brand of bread you are using? Looks great. Also curious about that first image, what is the blueberry concoction there?

Thank you for this idea. As a toast loving, cottage cheese loving, non-meal planner on a budget, this fits into my lifestyle perfectly. Joining you lol

These look amazing! I’m someone who can eat the same/similar thing everyday too, so it’s refreshing to see you’ve found a consistent and balanced meal! Do you make your own sourdough?

  6. lumpy_space_queenie

What brand of sourdough are you finding that for 2 slices, is this far under 300 calories?

Mmmm looks so good! Please post what you topped them all with

  8. Ok, so there’s a restaurant called Postino (there’s locations across the country) and their claim to fame is Bruschetta boards with different flavors of Bruschetta. I see some of your toasts and think of them (some of my faves include prosciutto, fig, and mascarpone; smoked salmon and pesto; sweet n spicy pepper jam and goat cheese; and burrata, bacon, arugula, and tomato)!

This is what I would eat every night if I didn’t live with my partner – my dream dinner 😂

I do a slice of Dave’s Killer Bread Thin Slice (60 calories per slice) and Avocado every evening with tea. Love it.

If you haven’t tried it yet and you like sweet and spicy stuff, the Tabasco Pepper Jelly tastes really good on toast.

I used to do this for lunch everyday bc it was easy and filling and low calorie. Love to see this as more inspo for toast meals!

I have an awesome bakery near me that I buy whole grain sourdough from every week and I eat a lot of toast for meals too!

My friend has a garden and she’s been giving me lots of heirloom tomatoes so recently my toast has been topped with Good Culture cottage cheese, pesto sauce, sliced tomato, and salt and pepper. It’s almost like caprese toast and I love it!

Another favorite variety is hummus, feta, avocado, and a sprinkling of sumac.

  16. Which is better in your opinion, avo toast with hot sauce or with chili flakes?

Absolutely love this. I’m a big stuff on toast fan. Recently I’ve been making “pea hummus” as a toast topping. Mash up some defrosted frozen peas with a bit of crushed garlic, tahini, whatever herbs I’ve got (mint is good!) – it’s delicious!
