hey guys welcome to my cooking vlog and let’s make the traditional Moroccan soup khaliva First let’s prepare all the [Music] ingredients And by the way guys for you able to peel the tomatoes you have to boil them first let it cool and then peel them After peeling the tomatoes I like to cut them in half first before pulling them in the blender together with the celery And now it’s time to [Music] blend I also have here my soaked lentils and the meat This is beef guys Later on I’m going to cut it into small pieces And this time I’m cutting the parsley I forgot to cut it together with the cilantro So that’s why I am cutting it late As you can see in the right side of the video I have a can chickpeas I’m using can chickpeas to save time but you can also use the dried ones but you have to soak it [Music] overnight Now it’s time to cut the beef in small cubes I like to cut it into small pieces for it to cook quickly [Music] Now let’s start cooking Heat your casserole and add some olive oil Start to take your garlic and onion and add the beef I like to add my spices next before cooking the lentil Add some water just enough to cover Then simmering for 20 minutes After 20 minutes add a half piece of beef cur and let it boil Next add 1 tbsp of tomato paste and resume puree Then mix For me I’m adding next the following Cilantro and parsley green pasta warm season and the chickpeas Let it warm for 10 minutes Then add water if need Lastly add your flour to leave it in water just to thicken a bit your soup Cover it and let it simmer for another 10 minutes And that’s it Enjoy your hala [Music]
