I don't think I'd make it through this summer without sardines, crudites, salads, and sushi.

These sardines were huge and meaty, but the lemon flavor was weak af. But there was a slice of preserved lemon in the bottom that was divine!

Aye, it means store bought bread for me unless I can get to the bakery early enough to grab something decent.

    Summer is a cruel mistress.

I’ve been on this wave too. Cant wait to get cozy and start making soup once the weather cools down. For now it’s tinned fish, sandwiches, pasta salads and fruit salads!

  3. I loved tinned fish in the winter. Something about cheese, sardines, bread, and wine in warm darkness is super relaxing.

For me, every season is soup season.

Thank you for teaching me the word crudites. I love it 😍

And here I am looking at dutch oven pot roasts while its like 105 out. This might be a bit more comfortable…

I’m much happier cooking in summer after picking up an induction cooktop. (Hasn’t stopped me from tinned fish dinners the last three nights, though.)
