Washington, D.C. (7News) — Owner and Chef of Slice and Pie Giulio Adriani returned to Good Morning Washington on Wednesday with delicious pizza and exciting news.

Recently ranked #2 in the country, Slice and Pie was created in 2022 by Adriani, who aimed to infuse his Italian roots into New York and Detroit style pizza. “We bring here the ingredients and the knowledge [from Italy], but then we open our hearts to the American style,” says Adriani.

Their menu ranges from classic cheese and pepperoni pizzas, to the “Federalist Pig” and “New England Clam” pies, all on their signature thin and crispy crust. In-studio, Adriani brought the Burrata Pie, which he says is Slice and Pie’s “best pizza”. He also showcased a Detroit-style deep-dish pepperoni pie topped with hot honey.

“I think the real secret is understanding your customer,” reflects Adriani, citing how crucial feedback and listening is for restaurant success. He also shares the praise, stating, “my success is always my team’s success… they are the ones that bring us up there.”

Slice and Pie is looking forward to opening their newest locations in Union Market and at The Parks at Walter Reed.
