Easy Parmesan Risotto Ina Garten

Hey guys, welcome. It’s Melissa here. Today I have a cooking video for you. I’m going to be making a Gartens easy parmesan risoto. So, we’re going to go ahead and get started. I have some uh chicken stock or chicken broth go ahead and heating up here. And mine is homemade or you can buy storebought, whichever you have. Right. So, I’ve got that simmering. I’m just going to go ahead and turn it off. And we are going to be using a Dutch oven to cook this cuz we are cooking this in the oven. Therefore, that’s why it’s called easy parmesan risoto. So, we are going to take our boreo rice. 1 and 1/2 cups. Okay. And then we’re going to put four cups of the broth. just under. So, I’m going to add just a little bit of water to make this four. Okay, we’re going to pour this into the rice. Going to give it a stir. We’re going to put the lid on. And then we are going to put this in the oven. Okay. So now that cooks in the oven for 45 minutes. You don’t have to do anything for 45 minutes. And then we’re going to come back and take this out and finish it up. I will see you then. Okay. So, it’s been Mine took about 40 minutes or so, but that’s my oven. So, I would uh check it a little early depending upon your oven. And so now we’re going to go ahead and finish this. Uh, so you’re going to add a cup of broth. And you’re supposed to add a half a cup of wine, but I don’t use wine. So I just did a cup and a half of broth. And then we’re going to add 3 tablespoon of butter diced up. a cup of Parmesan cheese or a little more depending on how much you grade. Some salt and pepper. A little more salt. and a cup of frozen peas. And then we’re going to get a pot holder. Stir vigorously for two to three minutes. Oh, wait. I wasn’t supposed to add the peas yet. Oh well. I’m sure it’ll still turn out well. Then give yourself an armwork out doing this. I would say that is good. So, get a bowl. And if you wanted to cook some shrimp or chicken and add to this, you could uh do that as well. That is very good. It’s really good. Well flavored because of my homemade broth. So, easiest dinner you could make. About 10 minutes to prep it, 40 to 45 minutes to cook it, and then just add everything in at the end to stir it up. You got a great dinner. cook up some shrimp or chicken, add it in if you want a wellbalanced meal, but this is good enough for me. So, if you like this video, go ahead and like, subscribe, and share.
