Colbeh, a Persian-Mediterranean kosher restaurant concept, will be opening a new location in Roslyn Heights.
The company purchased the two-story, 4,695-square-foot commercial building on .16 acres at 177 Mineola Ave. for $1.6 million. The property was formerly the home of Classic Kitchen & Bath and prior to that it housed the Il Sapone Ristorante.
The new Roslyn Heights restaurant will be Colbeh’s third Long Island location, following Colbeh at 75 N. Station Plaza in Great Neck and The Cottage by Colbeh at One The Intervale in Roslyn. Colbeh also provides the catering for Temple Beth Shalom in Roslyn Heights. A Manhattan restaurant is also in the works, according to the company’s website.
Colbeh offers a diverse menu of Mediterranean cuisine with unique dishes such as Bademjoun, an eggplant stew made with plum tomatoes, onions, and braised veal; Joujeh, grilled chicken in a lemon saffron vinaigrette; and a variety of kebab sandwiches, steaks and seafood. Appetizers include Bureka, grounded potato stuffed in pastry shell; Gondi, grounded chicken breast, chickpeas, and Persian spices; Tahdig, crusty rice topped with stew; and more.
The new Roslyn Heights restaurant is expected to open this fall.
Giuseppe Gregorio and Luca DiCiero of NY Space Finders represented the buyer, as well as the seller, MATSAL Holdings LLC, in the Roslyn Heights sales transaction.
