Hi all!
I just got these at my local farmer's market. I have never seen onions like these before. How do you all enjoy preparing these and do you like them? Thanks for the help!

I, too, have never seen red green onions.

But my favorite way to eat everything is with my mouth.

    Hope that helps!

Cut the very tips off, and either grill till charred then toss in butter salt pepper and olive oil or sauté till charred in olive oil butter and salt and pepper.. or do in oven

I’ve never seen purple green onions! I want some!

I like to eat the bottoms sprinkled with salt, and then I save the green tops to garnish just about every fucking savory meal ever.

Why are scallions so different from other onions but are still onions

Pajeon – crispy scallion pancake. It can take a bit of time to nail down the technique.

These grew wild on the farm I grew up on. My dad would eat them fresh. Cut off the roots and dip them in malt vinegar or salted ice water. He’d snack down a whole plate of them while watching Quantum Leap.

Chopping it up and adding it to ranch!

Quick sear on the grill. Wrap in paper and steam for 5-10 minutes. Dip in romesco.

  15. I’d throw them on the grill with whatever else I’m cooking and save one raw to utilize in erotic spanking.

Raw, as part of a charcuterie. They are an excellent source of fiber, to help you poop!

Whip them into some butter and spread it on a nice crusty piece of toasted bread

I would be tempted to try them in the miso soup recipe I follow…
