I really liked the presentation of these deens when I opened the tin. It made the snack feel fancy. I wanted something to eat that was super fast and super basic, so I just toasted two slices of 21 grain and seed bread, topped them with the sardines and oil, and added a splash of red wine vinegar. I didn't add hot sauce since I wanted the pepper to dominate.

Great texture on the fish. Flavorful without being too, too fishy. The cracked pepper had a terrific pop of spiciness. The slightly firm peppercorns complemented the softer fish well. I would definitely get more of this variety and would gussy it up a bit more, but not this time.

It wound up being too much bread for me, so I ate one piece, and then forked the sardines and pepper off the other. My spouse came up the stairs as I was cleaning up and said, "what's that smell?!" and was pretty eager to get the trash to the outside bin right away lol.
