Grated Coconut – 1/2 cup
Green chilli – 2 nos
Ginger
Garlic
Roasted Chana Dal – 1 Tbsp
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Black Salt – 1/2 tsp
Chaat masala powder – 1/2 tsp
Juice of 1/2 Lemon
Water

[Music] Hello everyone, welcome to home cooking with Miheim Subramanan. Personally, I’m a huge fan of sandwiches. I love sandwiches, be it veg, nonveg, and any filling it could be inside. Today I’m going to share a wonderful chutney cheese sandwich that’s loaded with cheese and great flavors of mint coriander chutney. So let’s get started and check it out. So first we’re going to make the mint coriander chutney. I’ve taken a small bunch of fresh mint leaves. Clean them nice. Just add the mint leaves first to the mixer jar. Next add a small bunch of fresh coriander leaves. Next I’m adding half2 cup of freshly grated coconut. Add two green chilies cut up. A small piece of ginger chopped. One garlic clove. 1 tbsp of roasted chana dal. Next add 1 teaspoon of cumin powder. Half teaspoon salt. Half teaspoon black salt that is kala namak. So if you don’t have black salt, regular salt is just enough. Now I’m adding half teaspoon of chart masala powder. This is entirely optional but definitely will add a bit of flavor to the chutney. Next, squeeze the juice of half lemon. Just pour a little water and grind it to a nice thick consistency chutney. Now, you don’t want it to be runny because we’re going to use this chutney for the sandwiches. Just add a little water at a time to get the right consistency. [Music] Wow, the chutney is done. Just look at that. It’s got this nice, beautiful thick consistency. Transfer the chutney to a cup and keep it aside. Now let’s start assembling the chutney cheese sandwich. I’m taking two slices of fresh white bread. You can use brown bread also if you like. Apply some butter onto the bread slice. And make sure it’s at room temperature. So this way while applying the butter it’ll be nice and smooth. Next, add the prepared mint coriander chutney and gently spread it all over the slice. I’m just adding a nice thick layer of the chutney because I want it to be nice with lot of flavors. So, if you don’t want so much chutney, you can just cut it on a little bit. Just make sure you spread it out evenly on all sides. [Music] So, I have grated some fresh mozzarella cheese here. We’re going to use two types of cheeses for the sandwich. So, I’m just placing a handful of the grated mozzarella cheese on one slice. Just gently spread it out on all sides like that. To make it more cheesy, I’m adding a slice of cheese here. Now, all we need to do is close the sandwich. Just gently press it on all sides. So, now we’re going to toast the sandwich. Heat a tawa or a pan. Just add a little bit of butter and place the prepared sandwich onto the taba. Keeping the flame on low, toast the sandwich till you get that lovely golden brown color. Before flipping the sandwich the other side, just apply some butter on top. We want a nice even toast on both sides. [Music] Once it’s toasted on one side, gently flip it to the other side. [Music] So, gently press it. So, if you want to grill the sandwich, you can also do that. If you have a grill pan, you can also grill the sandwich. [Music] Wow, just look at that even toast. This beautiful chutney cheese sandwich is ready to be served. Make sure to enjoy these beautiful chutney cheese sandwiches as soon as you make them while they’re still nice and hot. Look at that beautiful chutney double cheese sandwich. Wow. Just enjoy it while it’s still hot like this. Well, it’s irresistible. I’m so tempted to quickly take a bite. [Music] I couldn’t wait to enjoy these cheesy chutney sandwiches while I was drooling all the way while I was making them. Well, there you go. [Music] Wow. Look at that. It’s too good.
