They’re a kid. They have small hands, so they like small slices. Also, this is a common way for pizza to be cut at kids’ parties, so it really shouldn’t be that shocking.

I say, as long as the cuts go from the edge to the *center*, every time, it’s permissible. Not my favorite thing to see, but at least it’s not like that psychopathic way some people cut cakes or pies, where you end up with all those blocky Frankenslices

Other than the pizza itself, I see no issues.
One solid cut through the middle, and one slice cut to a person’s preference. Slices don’t have to all be the same size.
This small slice is even cut toward the middle. I’ve seen much worse.

I used to work in a supermarket cafe, and sometimes when we had product about to go out of date, we would do samples on top of the cafe counter under some heat lamps.
We used to get these pre made pizzas that I tried, and they were kind of meh. But if you cut it into 16 pieces and put it back in the oven for another minute or two, it would crisp up so nicely and become delicious.
Basically, my hypothesis from then on became that smaller slices = tastier pizza.
