Loved my Weber Kettle grill so much I decided to incorporate it into my work! I brought it into my home office and reversed engineered most of the grill so I can do a simulation on the "P" vents using fluid dynamics. I'm always looking for something fun or interesting involving fluid dynamics to showcase for my work. Now that I have the CAD side done, I can play and experiment with how heat and air travels through the grill with Simulation software! I just wanted to share with you all. Thanks for all your support on this sub with my kettle grill journey! Happy Friday!

This is super cool!
This is fucking awesome, really interested in the results.
I’m calling you the next time my brisket doesn’t come out of the stall.
I have the onlyfire ceramic insert/deflector and the “extension” piece to sit the rotisserie up.
If you want me to pull some measurements.
Nice work. There is a local Napoleon Kettle for sale and I noticed they are shaped slightly different than Webber.
My first thought was I wonder how that effects the fluid dynamics.
ADD SENSORS. PID control kettles are next level.
Brisket a la simulation-in-the-loop 😳
I will be watching for your future work. This will be a fun ride!
You sir, are King of all Grilling Nerds. Anyone who says otherwise can take my Thermopen out of my cold, dead, hands.
Awesome. Upload it to one of the many sites so it can be 3D printed
lol this is awesome, before we know it there’s gonna be a grilling/smoking simulator game
All of the Weber employees that are subbed here just typed ‘ RemindMe! 30 Days ‘
OP going to bring his kettle into a wind tunnel after an F-35 test.
Next step is modeling the older three daisy wheel bottom vents against the newer one-touch system. We need data!!
Make an STL of that. I’d like to print one of a small model of it. 😂
Your SW tree stresses me out.
Grill-Simulator app or game?
