Did the Yan's Dining Room experience at the back of Hong Shing recently. It's basically a tasting menu that changes monthly, in the private dining room.

Booked about one month in advance, I did enjoy the story telling part and service was pretty good. Maybe it's just this menu for this month but I did enjoy the food at Dai Lo a bit more (it's also cheaper iirc). It was a bit long (about 6:30-10:20ish, service started at 7ish) – and that's coming from someone who has done tasting menus at 1* establishments. Each course is served to the whole group at the same time, so maybe that contributes to the overall length if people are slowly eating while chatting.

Overall creative dishes that paid homage to chef Eva's background and culture which I liked. I found it an interesting experience, though for the price I'd probably choose other tasting menus in the future. Left feeling very full at the end, and it's funny cause they'll actually box dishes up for you if you wish.
