Hands down the best we’ve had yet! We have travelled around Japan lotsa times and been eating plates and bowls of fresh sashimi and this one tops the list so far!

Otaru was so wonderful! The market was fun and made for a great breakfast. I only day tripped it but want to go back for a week and branch out from there.

Shihachi シハチ鮮魚店狸COMICHI店 in Sapporo is imo better than most Otaru Kaisendon places. But I really didn’t like the Otaru Kaisendons in general. Sushisai Waikichi for Omakase too, also in Sapporo, but quite hard to get a reservation when I went.
Looks good but idk if it’s the pic but I personally don’t like when the cuts of sashimi are so huge. Salmon slices look massive to me like can you fit that in your mouth?
