A little to raw I’ll eat a blue rare steak but lambs texture is different needs to be rare for me

  2. Nooms88

Yea that’s very raw, no guilt for sending back

Yes it’s on the blue side for me personally. I was tasked to cook lamb at a world trade show. It was amazing how many people like it super rare. I also cook some a little more on the medium rare side. I think really raw lamb is what turns people off lamb.

Quick! Call the vet, I think we can save her!

I like to eat it this raw if the meat is tasty. But it doesn’t look like there’s much of a crust, making me believe that’s unlikely super flavorful.

I dont even order big pieces of meat at restaurants anymore. The batting average is not even close to acceptable.

That’s so nasty I can’t believe they served it

  8. Lepke2011

It’s definitely rare, but I like my lamb that way.

It’s med- rare, eat it like a man or ask for chicken fingers next time

That is raw. No one will ever convince me otherwise.
It needed another 4 or 5 minutes on high heat and another 5 to rest on TOP of what they did. Ack

That’s raw. Heat didn’t get into the depth you cut into.

    You’re not crazy.

Medium would be some shades pinker and be less stringy.

It has been exposed to heat, so it is by definition NOT raw. It’s a lot more rare than you may prefer. If it’s not cooked to your liking, cook it longer.

The question is, did they ASK how you wanted it cooked? If not, the its by chefs discretion. That looks rare. And considering lamb is typically enjoyed rare/med-rare…..this is normal for some places.
Personally I prefer atleast a med rare with lamb. And if a server doesn’t ask me how I want it cooked, I make sure to let them know.

  14. Worried-Criticism

That is REALLY rare, and badly done, with quite a bit of underdone fat as well. This is also not the default cook that most chefs would go for,

    I’d have sent them back.

Give it a plaster and it’ll be ready to follow Mary to school tomorrow…

  16. Short-Application-40

We’re still frozen while cooking, so yah, not good to eat.

Secondary, undone (rare – whatever) meat around a bone, is impossible to chew it off, but hey, some think that dog food is high quality food.

Think I threw up a little.

I cannot eat anything less than medium(I was raised on well done & SUPER well done(legit my mother would order EXTRA EXTRA well or SUPER well-lol)…but am raising my kids to enjoy med-rare/rare, its just a personal hangup)

Dawg that shit is about to jump off the table

  19. LordQuackers83

It’s so raw it started singing “This is the song that never ends”

  20. vinny10133

Rare, if you like it then that’s good but for lamb I prefer medium

  21. sideshow--

It looks like a perfectly sane food to eat.

  22. TheOptiGamer

Might want to take that to a vet. Not too late quite yet

  23. Effective_Corner694

IMO, When it comes to lamb, pink is perfect. That looks undercooked to me

  24. Vengeance5051

Does it matter if it’s raw….if you are not satisfied then stop posting on reddit and return the dam thing.

They’re so raw they’re singing “this is the song that never ends”
