Karoline Leavitt reveals unexpected dinner date - and it's not her husband

Karoline Leavitt, 27, enjoyed a meal at renowned Italian eatery Filomena in Washington DC last night – and she shared some sweet photos of the outing on her Instagram Stories

Karoline Leavitt has revealed she had an unexpected dinner date that was not with her husband last night.

The White House Press Secretary enjoyed a meal with her little son, Niko, at Filomena Ristorante in Washington, D.C. on Friday evening. The upscale restaurant, which serves Italian food, overlooks the historic C&O Canal and has been open since 1983.

The 27-year-old mom shared a sweet photo of her child sitting on her lap at the restaurant, captioned “My dinner date last night.” In the snap, which she posted on her Instagram Stories, Karoline was wearing a beige top paired with a necklace, bracelet, and ring.

In another image, little Niko had tomato sauce all over his face while wearing a bib reading, “Ladies, keep trying to pick me up.” Karoline said her son, who turned one last month, is a “lover of pasta…just like his mom!”

Karoline and her son also visited the renowned Italian eatery back in June, when she posted a snap of herself pushing Niko’s stroller outside the restaurant. In the image, she looked glamorous in a silver metallic knit maxi dress paired with casual black flip-flops.

Her hair cascaded freely as she beamed at the camera. In another adorable moment captured on camera, baby Niko was seen entranced by a waiter giving him a thumbs up, with a plate of delicious rigatoni before him. Karoline playfully noted, “My Italian baby loved his Rigatoni.”

A final holiday-mode picture featured Karoline, still in her shimmering silver attire, sharing a joyful moment with two girlfriends who came to visit, as indicated by her caption “Girlfriends came to visit,” followed by a white heart emoji and their tags.

Then, in July, Karoline and her 59-year-old husband Nicholas Riccio hosted a lavish party for their son. They wore matching “Dada” and “Mama” T-shirts as they stood behind the little boy in their garden. Karoline organized a theme for the party—trucks—and even hired a real-life digger for the big bash.

Captioning the Instagram picture, she wrote, “1st birthday party success for my little truck lover boy!” Karoline also shared a video of Niko enjoying a birthday treat, with another clip showing all of the friends and family who had gathered to celebrate. Niko’s birthday cake featured two diggers on it, while the party was decorated with bunting of his face.

Guests also had special yellow cups to drink out of, with Niko’s name printed on them. In one sweet snap, the youngster was seen with birthday cake on his face as Karoline said her son is “living his best life.” She also thanked all of those who made Niko’s birthday extra special. “Blessed with the best friends and family in the world,” Karoline wrote on top of a video from the party.
