Personally I’d do furikake (the seaweed, sesame seed and seasoning you sprinkle on rice) and/or bibim sauce

You really don’t. People eat something else if they want to kick it up a notch.

Best you can do is eat it with kimchi.

Different types of kimchi and eat a spoonful and place a different piece of kimchi on top

  4. a spoon of momofuku chili crunch or momoya chili oil

I can help here…I had to eat this 3 times a day for almost a month lol

You can add soy sauce , wasabi, fish sauce, black pepper, cut up pieces of sausage or spam

If you have some carrots, onions, garlic, green onions, mushrooms laying around, you can dice some up and saute slighlty while the porridge is getting ready. Most veggies would be good and would also give the dish a different texture and more nutrition.

Diced kimchi is my favorite thing to put in porridge. If you have nothing else, this is the only thing you actually need.

Second on the sesame oil and seeds as others have said. Furikake or crushed up gim would be good too.

If you really want to elevate 죽, make your own.

The difference in flavor, texture, nutrition, and aroma is incomparable .
