Rant: But F it we ball 😭 this is exactly why I don’t include exercise calories to give me “cushion” for silly mistakes/ improper logging.

And honestly I didn’t really need or want the extra cookie. I was just filling up the “caloric space” which is something I don’t normally do.

And this was a good reminder of why. The cookie wasn’t as satisfying as the first two cookies but it was a learning experience.

Rave: I was invited to a seafood boil and navigated the situation perfectly
stuck to lean protein and veggies and when I really wanted a bread roll I split it with someone.

I logged 1.5 TBSP of butter idk how accurate that is but I’m proud of today and would still count it as a success.

Forgot to add it averages out for the week so it’s good

Honestly, it’s all an estimate, and your actually calorie count is always going to be slightly different from what is recorded. 45 calories one way or another is generally not going to make a huge difference in your success over all. Being consistent even with some slight variation over the long run is going to do more for you than being perfectly on target but stressing over every single bite of food in the short term.

The real win is that you are logging, you are thinking about what you’re eating, you’re staying consistent, and you’re not beating yourself up when you make mistakes or have a day when you eat more calories than you planned on.

It is a success. 45 cals in the grand scheme of things is nothing. It’s all estimates anyway.

What a great story on many fronts. Honest about the dynamics, splitting a role is a great idea, and most importantly, treating it as a success

I went over by about 1000 yesterday lol. Oh well. I was working hard on repairing a broken fence this weekend. Also, I’m gonna try to go under by a couple hundred for the rest of the week and it should even out.
