Had a scary but very real conversation with my doctor and due to family history with heart disease we decided med diet is the best way to move forward in hopes of lowering some lab levels. Went grocery shopping today and meal prepped breakfast and lunches. Any tips are greatly appreciated!

Breakfast: Zero fat Fage yogurt bowls w/ blueberries, bananas, local honey, and walnuts

Lunch: Dense bean salad & tuna (did cheat somewhat I believe by using avocado mayo) any

IMO there’s not really “cheating” on MD! There is room for mayo & other more processed ingredients, just on occasion. It’s always good to ease into things too so you don’t go off the deep end. Food looks delish!

There’s something i learned. Take oats , not the instant, obviously, lol. Put about a cup in a jar with greek yogurt or milk, let it sit overnight. Then in the morning, it’ll be perfect with some fruit ! I have an issue with eating in the mornings, so this is a quick healthy meal since I need the healthy sugars for hypoglycemia.
