  1. How are you liking it? I am considering an upgrade for my kettle joe

I replaced a daisy wheel with one of these – it’s so much easier, to control, it doesn’t get gummed up and no worries about rain.

  3. I got this for my Kamado I classic and switched back the the pinwheel after less than month. It gets so gunked up with grease it’s just gross after a couple of cooks. And I mean leaking all over the ceramice funked up. Though I hear others that love it so maybe I didn’t use it right.

I bought one of these too for my kj classic 1 and love it

Mine is so gunked I might be in the market soon.

Did they update it? Mine doesn’t stand a chance to sit flush to the dome like this…

It works but it sticks out like a sore thumb and that damned rubber piece keeps falling off. Next time I’ll buy the kj vent. Yeah it flakes over time but I just feel it’s higher quality and it looks much better.

  8. I got one of these, but only used it once.

When it got hot, the heat caused the metal to expand in a way that made it lock up and unadjustable. It now sits on the ground next to my joe.

  9. Works good but it does get stuck in the Kamodo Joe cover.

  10. They work great, my only complaint is that the top cone shaped piece is the perfect size to get stuck in the top of the Kamado Joe cover.

Whenever I take the cover off now I have to be prepared for the top piece to come too

  11. Yeah i bought this last month because I wasnt liking the control of the daisy chain original on the classic 1.

Mine hasn’t gunked up, but im sure you can just remove it and give it a cleaning.

I also recommend buying the ash basket and charcoal basket. Both are literal time savers when it comes to getting rid of ash and pulling out the charcoal easily.
