A diner has offered her candid assessment of Gordon Ramsay’s Sunday roast after returning the meal at one of his central London establishments.

YouTube content creator Hannah Ricketts paid a visit to Heddon Street Restaurant but found herself let down by the culinary offerings.

Frequently spotted sampling some of the capital’s most celebrated hotels and eateries on her channel, Hannah Ricketts’ most recent venture brought her to the vibrant Soho district where the establishment sits.

Hannah was at first taken with the restaurant’s décor upon stepping into the dining room.

However, after scanning the menu she was rather unimpressed to discover two courses would cost her £35, which she maintained she “wasn’t sure was a great offer”, reports the Mirror.

Hannah selected a roast dinner and was “excited” to tuck in as she noted the beef was “pink” just as she had ordered.

The YouTuber was quickly disappointed though when she realised that the Yorkshire pudding was “completely cold”.

Matters deteriorated further when she tested the gravy with her finger only to discover it wasn’t at the temperature she had anticipated either.

Hannah then declared the entire dish was “stone cold” to compound her underwhelming visit.

She did show some understanding for the kitchen staff as she “appreciated” how challenging it must be to maintain all the various elements of the dish at ideal serving temperatures. The content creator confessed she felt rather “miffed” and “embarrassed” about returning the meal to the kitchen.

However, matters deteriorated further when her plate came back with the mixture of mashed and root vegetables seemingly “so overcooked, they’re just like mush, like actual mush”.

Hannah then moved on to her pudding course, having ordered a sticky toffee dessert.

Yet she found herself let down before even sampling a mouthful, as it had been placed on her table whilst she was away in the ladies’ room.

The Heddon Street establishment forms part of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s empire of 34 restaurants and bars operating throughout the UK.

His collection spans from the more relaxed venues including Street Pizza and Street Burger through to the premium fine dining establishments, such as his Restaurant Gordon Ramsay situated in Chelsea, London, which holds a remarkable three Michelin stars.

The Heddon Street Restaurant have been approached for a response.

This follows Gordon’s revelation about the one menu item he would never request at a restaurant.

Speaking to Town and Country, Gordon exposed the notorious ‘soup of the day’ as his avoid-at-all-costs choice, frequently used by kitchens as a method to shift remaining ingredients or the previous day’s unsold dishes.

He explained: “Ask what yesterday’s soup du jour was before today’s special. It may be the case that it’s the soup du month.”
