Overlooking the Gulf of Naples in one of Italy’s most famous and historic cities, George Restaurant is an ode to Italian grandeur and, of course, Italian wine. Chief sommelier Enrico Moschella’s wine program earned a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence in 2023 and includes more than 500 selections, with a particular focus on leading wineries in Piedmont and Tuscany. Adding impressive depth, many estates are represented with horizontals and verticals, such as Gaja, San Felice and Il Marroneto. French domaines also feature heavily throughout the list, particularly those in Champagne and Burgundy, like Pol Roger and Taupenot-Merme.

Chef Domenico Candela prepares George’s distinctly Neapolitan cuisine while drawing influences from French fine-dining concepts. Candela’s creativity is evident in the restaurant’s multi-course tasting menus, which are seasonally designed and constantly changing. While guests can expect mainstays such as homemade pastas, breads and cheeses, even these are consistently reinvented with new flavor profiles.

Located on the sixth floor of the luxurious Grand Hotel Parker’s, built in 1870, George lies within the Quartieri Spagnoli—one of the most fashionable and popular sightseeing neighborhoods in the city of Naples—and is surrounded by museums, piazzas and cathedrals. Exuding opulence, the restaurant’s interiors are resplendent with sculptures and art celebrating Baroque Italian style. That’s not to mention George’s picturesque coastal views, which diners can enjoy whether they are seated inside or al fresco on the restaurant’s patio.
