Today was plum-picking day (mirabelles, the little golden ones)! And of course, next step: making a plum tart.

Now listen… pitting these tiny things by hand? Absolutely not. So here’s my 2.0 technique to make it quick and painless:

-Grab a glass bottle (tonic works great).
-Place the plum on the mouth of the bottle.
-Use a chopstick (or similar stick) to push the pit straight through.
-The pit drops inside the bottle, the plum stays mostly intact!

Purists will say you lose a bit of fruit compared to hand-pitting. True. But let’s be real: it’s time vs. pulp. You choose your battles 😅
