Today, I’m showing my husband (and you!) how to make a cozy, simple yoghurt soup that’s perfect for beginners. This recipe is light, comforting, and so easy to follow — anyone can make it!
🧑🍳 Ingredients:
3 dl of plain Turkish/Greek yoghurt
2 tbs flour
1 egg
1.5 liters water ( u can add more or less, it doesn’t matter)
1 cup of rinsed rice
1 cup of rinsed green lentils
2 tbs butter
Paprika ( adjust to your liking)
Mint ( Adjust to your liking)
Salt ( Adjust to your liking)

hi honey so today I’m going to be showing you how to do one of your favorite soups which is yogurt soup we have some not so fresh milk which still smells good you don’t have to follow all the ingredients correctly because you cannot fail a soup okay just relax and use approximately three big of these spoons okay or if you want you can actually use all of it doesn’t really matter and then you will put one egg about 2 tbsp of flour to make the soup thick and we mix it all together one important thing about this soup is that you will have to mix it like stir it at all times uh because if you don’t do that unfortunately it burns on the bottom meanwhile I have prepared my green lentils here um I rinsed them first and now they are in water i’m going to boil them until the black water comes out that’s the water that we want to get rid of because it makes the taste of the green lentils a little bit bitter so it will boil approximately 5 to seven minutes and then we will drain the water and put it aside now the yogurt looks like this and it’s all mixed together and I’m going to add cold water to it so I have my water here i’m going to add this cold water approximately 1 one and a half later stir it at the same time perfect now I’m going to put it on medium heat like if you’re using one of these electrical stoves industrial stoves I have no idea what they’re called but I usually put it on six level six on the big one and if you don’t want to stir it at all times you can put it on a smaller one and stir it every few minutes but I really recommend to stir it at all times until it starts boiling here how it looks and this is what I meant six on the biggest one and here is my green lentils boiling i’m going to be also using a cup of rice as well you can use any type of rice but not jasmine because that just doesn’t work in this soup the red lentil was about one cup as well i will wash this you really need to wash your grains because they are really really dirty and I will not boil this this will boil in the soup uh but we will get there do not put it in the soup yet and here is the green lentil all boiled up i’m going to rinse this water now and then I will put it aside and wait until the right time to add to the soup this is how that black water looks by the way do you see the color we don’t want it in the soup when it comes to this point where it steams a lot it means that it’s time to add the rice i’ll fix that later and also the lentils and then we’re just going to stir until they’re both cooked and at this point you can add the salt as well i usually go for two spoons of salt teaspoons um you can always add more on your own plate stir stir steer your soup until it’s ready come on be ready it’s so getting boring okay we are literally getting there almost cooked i would give it 10 more minutes and then we’re going to do the sauce off it yes you heard me right we make a sauce for it we’ll get there okay we have about 2 tbsp of butter in here all melted up i’m going to add mint and then paprika and then I’m stirring it it’s going to cook the spice a bit oh you should be smelling this right now it’s heavenly good so the oil is very hot and ready to be poured over to the soup we turned off the heat smells amazing look at that it looks amazing let’s try it well done if everything went well you ended up having a very delicious soup and let’s give it a try perfection it’s literally perfection this soup is very good if you are a hangover or if you have any sort of gut stomach issues i usually go for the soup if I have any type of reflex i think it’s called like you know too much acid in your stomach um yogurt is really good and by the way I think I have forgot to mention what kind of yogurt I used in this i will write all the ingredients down below but it is Turkish yogurt of course you can use Greek because it is um same sort of sourness in it well let me know below comments if there’s any more information that you need about the soup and let me know if you would like to see more recipes about these kind of soups that is not so familiar to you good luck
