There’s a wide range of restaurants to suit every taste and budget in all of the Les Arcs villages, but Arc 1800 has the largest choice. Read our guide on all the best places to eat in Les Arcs and where to find your favourite style of cuisine.
Worth noting is that at lunchtime most restaurants will offer a well-priced ‘Plat du Jour’ (dish of the day), normally consisting of locally-sourced meat, potatoes and a salad or seasonal vegetables.
Cafes and bakeries
Don’t bother hunting for a full English in Les Arcs, they’re few and far between. Instead, dive into the French vibe with a café visit or grab fresh croissants and pain au chocolat. In Les Arcs 1800, plenty of cafés on the ‘front de neige’ serve up delicious sweet and savoury crêpes, whilst Les Arcs 1950 also has a couple of good breakfast spots.
Wood Bear café

Divided into two levels, this small café is a great place to enjoy a hot drink with a snack or a larger lunch.
La Cascade Sucrée café
Located in Arc 1950
They have chocolates, ice creams, waffles and a large selection of sweets of all shapes and colours.
Mamie Crêpe café and restaurant
Located in Arc 1800
This small restaurant in Les Arcs 1800 offers savoury and sweet crepes, galettes, salads as well as homemade ice creams. In winter you can also try local specialities such as fondue and raclette.
L’Arc Dore café
Located in Arc 1950
Boulangerie and patisserie with a nice indoor and outdoor seating area.
Child friendly restaurants
Most of the restaurants in the villages of Les Arcs are child friendly, and will have children’s menus. Some restaurants are open all day and into the evening so you can have early dinner if that suits your family.

La Folie Douce – La Petite Cuisine Restaurant

La Petite Cuisine is La Folie Douce’s gourmet-quality, canteen-style restaurant. They serve a perfect mix of high-class local cuisine in a friendly, family atmosphere.
La Folie Douce – La Fruitière Restaurant
Located in Arc 1800
Located at the top of the Villards gondola in Arc 1800, within the celebrated La Folie Douce après-ski and gourmet hotspot, La Fruitière serves delicious modern dishes based on traditional flavours.
Le Montagnole Restaurant, Bourg St Maurice
Located in Plagne Villages
This restaurant has the ‘Asiette Michelin’ which is given to restaurants with a great food and wine experience who didn’t quite make the grade of a Michelin star.
Le Chic Mama Restaurant
Located in Arc 1800
This family-run restaurant is close to the pistes is a perfect stop-off for an easy lunch or a cosy dinner.
Belliou La Fumée Restaurant
Located in Arc 2000
Open in the winter and in the summer, this little restaurant tucked away in the mountains is a culinary delight.
La Table d’Emma Restaurant
Located in Plagne Villages
Hearty home-made cooking, with changing seasonal menus. Eat in the cosy dining area or the sunny terrace with views over the mountains.
Le Savoy Restaurant, Arc 2000
Located in Arc 2000
Enjoy some culinary delights such as traditional Savoyard dishes for lunch and dinner, and a non-stop service during the weekends.
Mediterranean restaurants
Whether it’s eat in or a take away pizza you’re looking for, there is a pizza place for you.
Casa Mia Restaurant
Located in Arc 1800
Home-made pizzas, pastas and risottos served in generous quantities in a friendly atmosphere.
Michelin starred restaurants
Although Les Arcs itself doesn’t have any Michelin starred restaurants, there are a couple of restaurants in nearby Bourg-Saint-Maurice that are recommended in the Michelin guide.
Modern European and international restaurants
Head to Les Arcs 1800 if you want a change from the usual French dishes, with menus that won’t break the bank. Tex-Mex is quite a popular choice in Les Arcs, whether for an après-ski snack or late meal, with some open until 23:00 offering a full on Mexican carnival.
