So I planted multi colored carrots and obviously this one is of the purple variety. It's much bigger than the rest and looks odd/bumpy and has brown spots. Just curious if it's ok to eat. Sorry if this is a dumb question, just wanted input lol.

It should be fine. I grew some black nebula carrots last year and they looked very similar to your carrot.
It’s totally fine. Theyre root vegetables which means if there’s anything in the way that they can’t exactly push out of the way, it can make bumps and divots in the vegetable. Just a little ugly but fine.
Not so fun fact, tons of produce is thrown away and wasted every single day due to it not meeting consumers visual standards. This means fruit and vegetables that are too small, too wonky looking, and don’t fit our general idea of what it should look like never make it to our hungry families.
Can you imagine how many people would be fed if we stopped selecting the most visually pleasing produce, and instead just sold nutrient dense high quality produce no matter how ugly it may be from places you can trust with total transparency.
It looks like nematode damage to me. It’s harmless, and the carrot is still edible.
A phenomenal first time carrot. I’ve been gardening for almost 5 years and I’ve never had one this long. That said, certain purple carrot varieties are notorious for being hairy. If it’s not woody and hard to chew, happy eating and congratulations!
Was it starting to flower? If so, it could be woody. Otherwise it looks good!
As long as it’s firm and doesn’t have any mushy or slimy spots, it’s probably fine. Some varieties get really weird shapes and coloring, especially the purple ones. Just scrub it well and cut away anything that seems off.
Nah you got a take that out back and shoot it, dogg.
