Luna Italian Cuisine in Mechanicsburg is now open for lunch.
Owner Vito Serradella said the restaurant at 100 Legacy Park, which opened in March, started serving lunch last week. The menu offers pizzas, salads and pastas.
Luna, named after the Italian word for “moon,” is located at Legacy Park, a mixed-use development. With its dining room, euro-style bar and Saturday night disco pub with music, Luna is anything but a typical Italian-American restaurant.
Pizza varieties feature margherita, vegetarian, and a Diavolo with mozzarella, salami, chili, olives and sun-dried tomatoes. Salad selections include salmon, tuna, grilled chicken, shrimp, steak and Cesar on chopped romaine, while pasta choices range from spaghetti with meatballs to a pappardelle with creamy avocado and shrimp.

Prices are $5 for a beer/glass of wine up to between $12 and $14 for salads and pizzas.
Serradella, who also owns Vito’s Italian Restaurant in Lower Allen Township and Vito’s Pizza in Upper Allen Township, said he decided to open Luna because so many people relocating from New York and New Jersey are looking for an upscale Italian restaurant.
It’s open 11 a.m.-10 p.m Monday and Wednesday-Friday, noon-2 a.m. Saturday and noon-10 p.m. Sunday. Closed Tuesdays.
