I think I can say these were the best wings I've ever had in my life. Pok Pok Portland close down in 2020. There are some great copycat recipes online but they just don't quite touch the real thing. I had to find a pic online. Lost mine when an old phone broke.

They were the best. I was on a trip and ordered an extra order to go. The next morning on the plane ate those suckers cold while I flew back to east coast. Incredible

Yep, those were the jam. Ate them Everytime I visited Portland. Didn’t the owners move to Thailand? They should have licensed the recipe and someone could have made a food truck just to sell those dang wings.
all time great wings. when i first met my now wife she raved about these wings she’d had when she was in portland. and when i finally got to try them years later, they did not disappoint.
Isn’t pok pok from DDD fame? They had a few locations i thought?
I just looked through my Pok Pok cookbook to see if the recipe is in there. I’m sure it won’t be the same, but I’m going to try!

I’ve made these before following the PokPok cookbook recipe and while I haven’t had ‘the real thing’ I can say that they were indeed my favorite wings I’ve ever had.
