5 minute Italian caprese salad #italianrecipe #italian #italianfood #caprese #pastatok #easyitaliancooking

100% Italian here. Five minute capray salad. Let’s do this. First of all, take your cherry tomatoes. I like the grape cherry tomatoes. And have them. I like to have them so that they’re right in the middle, the chunky way. Then take the mozzarella balls. They’re called chilia. They’re about the size of cherries. Dump two packages into that. I just pulled some fresh basil from the garden. Just chopped it. I’m adding minced garlic. At least I upgraded to a jar for you guys. I usually use this plastic squeeze bottle. You could use real garlic, too. But then it’s a 10-minute salad, not a 5minute salad. Put about two spoonfuls like this of the garlic. really good olive oil. I actually have this imported from Italy. Give it a really nice covering. About this much salt, maybe a little bit more. You’re about this much pepper. Once you mix it all together, this is my secret ingredient. Instead of using balsamic vinegar, use balsamic glaze. It’s a little bit sweeter. It’s a little bit thicker and it gives such a great flavor. And then you’re done. And it’s amazing. My cousins are here from Italy and I just made this for them. They finished it completely. Although they did raise an eyebrow with the garlic. Still thought it was delicious. So good.
