Hello friends, welcome back to my channel. Today we regona talk about a very interesting topic that is very near and dear to my heart and it’s classic American snacks made easy at home. So if you re someone who lives in America or you grew up with American culture or maybe you or you’re just curious about how to make some of these famous snacks that are famous in America, but you do I know how to make them well then this is the video for you. So grab your notebooks, take notes and let’s get started. Okay, so let’s start off with the first snack, which is Chex Mix. Now, Chex Mix is one of those things that is incredibly easy to buy in America. You can go to any grocery store and you will l find this pre-made mix of like cereal and chips and pretzels and all sorts of stuff. It’s incredibly easy to buy, but it’s really hard to make. Well, not anymore because today I’m going to n show you how to make your own checkex mix from scratch and it’s incredibly easy. So, for our recipe today, we’re going to need eight cups of assorted cereals. Now, when I say assorted cereals, I mean things like corn checks, rice checks, wheat checks, or even something like Triscuits. We’re also going to need two cups of pretzels, one cup of bread sticks, and one ripe avocado. Now, this is optional, but I really like the flavor that avocado brings to this dish. 1 tbsp of garlic powder, 1 tbsp of onion powder, 1 tbsp of paprika, 1 teassp of salt, half a teaspoon of black pepper, and 1/4 a teaspoon of cayenne pepper. This is optional as well. If you don’t want it spicy, you don’t have to add the cayenne, but this does give it a little kick, and we like it spicy. And finally, six cups of neutral oil, like canola oil, rice oil, or even peanut oil. Okay, so now that we have all our ingredients, let’s get cooking. First thing we’re going to do is get out a large bowl and combine our cereals, our pretzels, and our bread sticks. In another bowl, combine the avocado, the garlic powder, the onion powder, the paprika, the salt, the pepper, and the cayenne pepper if you’re using that. And then slowly drizzle in the oil while whisking constantly until the avocado is smooth and creamy. Once that s done, pour that mixture over the cereal and stir everything together until it’s well combined. Now, you want to spread this mixture out on a baking sheet in an even layer and then bake it in a preheated oven at 275° F or 135° C for about an hour. You want to stir this every 15 minutes to make sure that it’s toasting evenly. And once it’s done, you want to let it cool completely before serving. And that right there is your quick and easy checks mix. Okay, so let’s move on to the next snack, which is pig in a blanket. Now, this is another one of those iconic American party snacks that everybody loves. It’s super easy to buy in the grocery store, but it’s kind of hard to make. Not anymore because I’m gone. Nah. Show you how to make pig in a blanket at home for your next party. Okay, so for our recipe today, we’re going to need two cans of crescent rolled dough, one package of smoked sausage, slice it into one/4 in thick slices, one egg yolk beaten with a tablespoon of water, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Now, we’re going to need a rolling pin and a knife. Okay, so let’s get started. First thing we’re going to do is unroll the crescent rolled dough on a lightly flowered surface. We’ve regon na. Roll it out into a rectangle. And then we’ve reg. Use a knife to cut it into thin strips. You should end up with long strips that are about 2 in wide. Once you have all your strips cut out, go ahead and lay them down on a baking sheet that’s been lined with parchment paper. Now we’ve recone na. Take the sausage slices and we reg. Wrap them in the strips of dough. So just roll the dough around the sausage and then tuck it in at the end to make sure that it is sealed. Now you want to roll each pig in a blanket in the egg yolk mixture. And then you want to sprinkle it with a little bit of salt and pepper. Once all your pigs in a blanket are assembled, you want to bake them in a preheated oven at 375° F or 190° C for about 15 to 20 minutes or until they re golden brown. And that right there is your quick and easy pig in a blanket. All right, so let’s move on to the next snack, which is buffalo chicken dip. Now, this is another one of those iconic American party snacks that everyone loves, but it’s kind of hard to make. Well, not anymore because I’m going to show you how to make buffalo chicken dip at home. Okay, so for our recipe today, we’re going to need one rotisserie chicken shredded, 16 ounces of cream cheese softened, one green onion chopped, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup of Frank’s Red Hot original sauce, 14 cup of hot sauce, 14 cup of ranch dressing, 1/4 a teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 a teaspoon of black pepper. Okay, so let’s get started. First thing we’ve regon do is combine the cream cheese and the shredded chicken in a large bowl and mix it together until it’s well combined. Next, add the green onion, the cheddar cheese, the Frank’s red hot sauce, the hot sauce, and the ranch dressing. And then mix it all together until it’s well combined. Once that’s done, you want to transfer the dip to an oven safe dish. Then you want to bake it in a preheated oven at 350° F or 175° C for about 15 minutes or until it’s heated through and bubbly. And that right there is your quick and easy buffalo chicken dip. Okay, so let’s move on to the next snack, which is mac and cheese bites. Now, this is another one of those iconic American party snacks that everyone loves. It’s super easy to buy in the freezer section, but it’s kind of hard to make. Well, not anymore because I’m gone. Nah. Show you how to make mac and cheese bites at home. Okay. So, for our recipe today, we’re going to need 1 cup of macaroni cooked according to package directions, 1/4 a cup of butter, 1/4 a cup of allpurpose flour, 2 cups of milk, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup of breadrumbs, 1/4 a cup of Parmesan cheese, 1/4 a teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 a teaspoon of black pepper. Okay, so let’s get started. First thing we’re going to do is cook the macaroni according to package directions. Once it’s cooked, drain it and then set it aside. Next, add the butter to a medium saucepan on low heat. Once the butter has melted, you want to add the flour and whisk it constantly until it’s a paste. Next, slowly whisk in the milk until the sauce is thickening. Once the sauce is thickening, remove it from the heat and then add the cheddar cheese, the parmesan cheese, the salt, and the pepper. And then whisk it until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. Add the macaroni and then toss it until it’s coated in the cheese sauce. Now you want to drop by rounded tablespoons onto a baking sheet that’s been lined with parchment paper. Now we recon. Now roll those into balls and then flatten them out a little bit to make them kind of like patties. Now you want to roll those mac and cheese patties in the breadcrumbs and then place them on the prepared baking sheet. Now, you want to bake them in a preheated oven at 400° F or 200° C for about 10 minutes or until they re golden brown and they reheated through.
