I notice they open stores and close down semi often but I love their sauces, especially Mr.Pain, tres diablos (the tastiest), and their new one Smokin Reaper. I’m also wondering if they’re a lot less popular than I assumed.

The biggest chain of hot sauces. Every 4-6 months rebrand the same hot sauces. Literally just 1 or 2 good sauces. No where near worth the price.

I love them. You get to go in and try all the hot sauces you may have wanted before. Thir specialty sauces are good too.
The one called “the sauce” I think is a little spicy, garlicy and a tad bit tangy with some kick. Great on eggs and steak.

General concensus is that they’re overpriced but have some winners. I’m happy to have them around.

  4. A few flavors are good, a lot are okay, the rest are bad. None of them are actually that hot. I’m not even a spice head like some people on here but their spiciest ones were no big deal for me when I tried them in the store. It is fun as a one and done to go to a location and try a bunch of flavors.

Edit: Only referring to their brand of sauces that make up most of the inventory from my memory

$20 for ONE bottle of hot salsa, you tell me.

I love any type of shop like this, where it’s hot stuff Heaven. One of my all-time favorites is Silly Chile in Eureka Springs, AR. It’s not very big, but they have so much fun stuff in there, plus it’s a fun town to spend a weekend in. Lots of fun happens there!

Overpriced but happy to have a retail hot sauce place to get people into it.

    (idk of any others lol)

rip off but go there so little its ok. I like the 2 for 3 or 3 for 4 deal is best. There BBQ sauces past chipotle are intense. They had this Indian hot sauce I liked. Don’t think they make it any more.

It was more interesting to me when they used to carry more brands than just their own. We did stop by the one in Gatlinburg and get some interesting hot sauces, including a curry sauce with a peach base that went really well with samosas. It’s not a place that I would normally shop, but a vacation activity it was fun.

They are a store that reminds me of those shitty hot sauce box sets. They do have a few good sauces but they are over priced.

Doc habanero is delicious. Despite its name its much more of a mustard base and goes amazing on anything pork.

The employee was so nice I bought a $19.99 bottle, but I’ve had $4 bottles of Yucateco that were far superior.

  13. gringoswag20

    overpriced

    but peach habanero is 100000+

    u can try everyone basically

    overpriced

All the same stuff, rebranded with witty, cultural references, political mumbo jumbo. I once bought several sauces and looked at the ingredients. All were identical and tasted eerily similar.

  15. It’s fun to go in and try the sauces, especially on a slow day at Mall of America

  16. GrendelGT

Their chocolate habanero sauce is fucking delicious, especially on grilled steak and veggie kabobs!

Their ghost pepper sauce is one of my favorite sauces ever. They’re definitely pricy but I always have fun looking at their selection

  18. InsaneTendency

They have a few hot sauces I really enjoy, but several of them have similarly or lower priced equivalents from other makers.

That said, I have a soft spot for their blueberry BBQ sauce that keeps me coming back. Not spicy at all, and it’s not trying to be, but I’ve yet to find any other blueberry barbecue sauce where you get so much of that blueberry flavor. Love it for pulled pork and ribs.

I love’em! The tres’diablo is kick ass! And I’m on my 2nd bottle of the end flatline and about to order the end purgatory!

Too much capsaicin extract in a lot of their offerings.

i like the reaper rub, it’s cool to try a bunch of sauces but nothing wow’d me. they do have good sauces, but a lot of it is boring. and honestly expensive.

  22. StonkTrad3r

They operate in tourist areas… that should tell you the type of brand they are.

  23. NinjaStiz

I love them. Been buying their products for about 15 years. Sauces, seasonings, everything. Their honey chipotle rum BBQ sauce is probably the best BBQ sauce I’ve ever had

Also their sauce makers reserve medium sauce is kind of like a salsa. It’s my overall favorite sauce for breakfast tacos. No xantham gum or preservatives. Perfect combo of ingredients. In my opinion their stuff is worth the price. Whoever here said they just change the names of their sauces all the time but it’s still their old sauces is wrong. Been buying a bunch of their same sauces for a decade and a half. I see everything still uisng the same names I’ve always known.

ALSO their fusion reaper and garlic sauce is my second favorite pizza sauce. Dave’s scorpion being my first. I always do the buy 4 get 1 bottle free plus they always give me an additional bottle of their “Heat” sauce which is my wife’s favorite. So that makes it buy 4 get 2 free

Another also: if you like Horseradish, their nasal napalm is phenom. I mix it with sour cream and mayo and put it on steak sandwiches with grilled red onions on grilled sourdough slices or French bread. Pepper palace holds a special place in my heart no matter what anyone says

Went to the Nashville one last year, was afraid the “hotter” ones wouldn’t taste very good so I just got a pineapple hot sauce, which had good taste and a nice sweet heat. I’m a sucker for pineapple anyhow

lol I work at an ice cream shop and there’s one of these two stores over.

They give us a lot of customers lol

  26. Overpriced but I still love it. I enjoy trying random novelty sauces, seasonings, and salsas they bring out.

I have a few local that I jump between but I visit at least twice a month.
