Brevard residents will soon have a new place to satisfy their pizza craving.

Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza, known for its fresh ingredients and imported pasta, opens its first location in Brevard on Jan. 13. It has 13 other locations around Florida.

Located at 7655 Stadium Parkway in Addison Center at Viera, the restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating.

Addison Center is already home to Publix, Great Clips and Whit’s Frozen Custard.

“Whether you are looking for a quick lunch, a nice dinner to catch up with friends or picking up a meal to-go for the family, Piesanos is your place,” Jerry Roberts, co-owner of Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza, said in a news release.

“We are thrilled to welcome Viera through our doors.”

What to expect at Piesanos?

This location will be open seven days a week, Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Piesanos offers soups, salads and a variety of pasta dishes such as rigatoni alla vodka or garlic broccoli cappellini. All dine-in meals include the restaurant’s signature rolls.

For those seeking a twist on traditional pizza, options await, including the salami calabrese, meatball and ricotta and more. The restaurant says they use unique granite stone-fired ovens.

The restaurant also has a full bar, eight draft beers available and wines by the glass and bottle.

This new 5,600-square-foot venue can easily accommodate any size of gathering.

The history of Piesanos

Co-owner Joel Mills, originally from Staten Island, moved to Florida in 1994. Joel and his wife, Rebecca, opened Italian Gator Pizza by the Slice in Gainesville in 2000, eager to serve pizza and Italian dishes to University of Florida students and faculty.

Later, collaborating with three more restaurant owners — Michael and Melissa Akey and Laure Young — the group established Piesanos in 2009. Viera marks the newest and 14th location in Florida.
