• 3 cups broccoli rabe/rapini, tough ends trimmed and then chopped
• 1 (16-0z) package gnocchi (approx 2½-3 cups)
• 1 pint/2 cups grape or cherry tomatoes
• 1 pound hot or mild Italian sausage, casings removed
• 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
• 3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
• 2 shallots, peeled and sliced
• 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
• 2 teaspoons fennel seeds
• ¼ teaspoon chili flakes
• ½ teaspoon salt
• ½ teaspoon black pepper
• ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
