Beef and Broccoli: https://blackstoneproducts.com/blogs/recipes/quick-and-easy-beef-and-broccoli
Ingredients
1 (12 oz) bag broccoli florets
1½ lbs skirt steak, sliced into ½-inch strips
¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
¼ cup oyster sauce
3 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tbsp garlic paste
1 tbsp arrowroot
1 tbsp water
8 oz diced onions
12 oz microwavable jasmine rice
Chopped green onions
Toasted sesame seeds
Avocado oil
Directions
Preheat your griddle on high heat. Add the broccoli to the griddle with a splash of water and cover with a dome to steam until tender.
On another section of the griddle, add avocado oil and place the steak strips down to sear.
While the steak and broccoli are cooking, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, honey, ginger paste, and garlic paste in a bowl.
In a separate small cup, mix the arrowroot with 1 tablespoon of water until smooth. Add this slurry to the sauce bowl and stir thoroughly.
Flip the steak to cook the other side and top it with the diced onions. Let everything cook for 3–4 minutes, or until the onions are crispy and the steak is browned.
Reduce heat to medium-low and add the jasmine rice to the griddle. Drizzle with a little water and toss to steam.
Combine the cooked steak, onions, and broccoli on the griddle. Pour the sauce over the mixture and toss everything together. Let it cook for about 1 minute until the sauce thickens. Be careful not to overcook, as the sugars can reduce too much and become sticky.
To serve, layer the jasmine rice on the bottom of each plate and top with the steak and broccoli mixture.
Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve with chopsticks if you’d like, and enjoy!

One of my favorite things is that Chinese takeout beef and broccoli. Boy, I could have that every day. But I said, you know what? I got to make it healthier. I’m going to make it from the comfort of my home, and I want to do it quick. So, I figured out a recipe, and this is it, y’all. Let’s get to cooking. [Music] I love a a quick way to do things. And y’all, this is it. Just buy the pre- chopped bag of already washed broccoli. So, I’m going to put this down here. I’m going to just steam this. So, I’m just adding some water to this. And then I’m going to dome it. Don’t worry about adding any kind of seasonings on this because the seasonings will come from that homemade beef and broccoli sauce that we’re going to make. Lots of water on here. We are going to dome all of these together. Let this steam nicely. Now, I already have a little bit of oil on my griddle top here. So, next let’s talk about the steak. Now, you can do any kind of steak. Honestly, a top sirloin works great. A cap steak works great. Today I’m using a skirt steak. I’m going to add some oil. And then my steak. Going to just get this nice and even here. You want all those little strip steaks to get nice and crispy. So, like I said, the sauce is where it’s at. So, we’ve got to make this. And y’all, you can make a bunch of this and keep it in your fridge for up to a week. Let’s start with some low sodium soy sauce. Keep that sodium as low as we can. And then we’re going to add some oyster sauce. I love this stuff. Basically, you’re going to add about 1/4 cup of each of those so far. Then we’re going to add about 3 tablespoon so of sesame oil, toasted sesame oil. And then we’re going to do two heaping tablespoons of honey. We’re also going to add in some ginger. I love these little tubes ginger and some grated garlic in there. We’re going to mix it real good. Now, here’s where we’re going to incorporate what makes the beef and broccoli nice and sticky is arrowroot or corn starch. You’re just going to do equal parts about one heaping tablespoon and 1 tbsp of warm water. Mix it together. Then you’re going to add it into that sauce. Once that’s nice incorporated, we’re going to move back over to the griddle here where our broccoli is done. Nice and steamed. Such a beauty. Our steak is looking good. So, now what I’m going to do is I’m going to add my onions. I just bought diced onions. So, I’m going to add this here on top of my steak. And then I’m going to toss all that together here. So, like I was saying earlier, that sauce is really where it’s at in this recipe. That nostalgic beef and broccoli taste. You don’t need to add any other seasonings because it’s really going to be too much overpowering of seasoning. No salt, no pepper, none of that. You can. I just don’t. And I find that this is the best way. The steak is looking good. The onions are looking good as well. Just a couple more minutes. I really like my steak nice and crispy, nice and well done for this recipe. Now, for the base of this, you know, when you get that that whole entire meal, when you get that that Chinese takeout, it comes with white rice. And I always love this in the bottom of the bowl. So, what I’m doing is I just bought pre already cooked par-boiled jasmine rice or white rice. I’m going to add that. I’m basically just going to warm it up here on my griddle top. The steak is looking so good. We’re going to just mix everything together here. We’re going to mix the broccoli. We’re going to mix the steak and the onions. And this is where the magic happens. This is where the sauce comes in, y’all. Now, we got to be quick with this because there’s so much sugar within the honey, within the sauce that we don’t want it to burn, right? So, we’re going to do a little bit here on top. And we’re going to toss that amount. Oh, it smells so so good. Beautiful. Beautiful. So, as we’re cooking it down, the sauce is going to thicken because I used that arrow root or corn starch. The rice is looking good. So, I think it’s time to get this rice on the plate here because, like I said, we just wanted to warm it. So, I just got a nice little pretty platter out here. And I’m going to put it right here in the center. All right. I’m going to move this over here. And a little bit more of this sauce here on top. And now it’s time to mix it and then plate. Let’s move it on over. Now, all you’re going to do to the top of this is make it a little pretty with some toasted sesame seeds and some green onions. And that is it. Smelling good. Looking good. I am digging in here. here. And yes, I got my chopsticks, y’all. So, make a little bit of that white rice, little bit of this steak and broccoli here, green onions, all the things. So good. Honestly, ever since I started making this, I have not gotten beef and broccoli takeout. I haven’t done it because it tastes better when you cook from your own home. And I got better steak on top of that. Absolutely fabulous. I mean, start to finish, 10 minutes, maybe 12 minutes tops, y’all. That is it. Trust me on this. Don’t opt for that takeout. Just make it from the comfort of your home, and I promise you, you are going to love it. You just got to keep it quick, got to keep it simple, and most importantly, you got to keep it delicious. My name’s Taylor Mock, and I will see you on the next episode. Cheers. [Music]

looks good.
Appreciate the measurements. Don't have to go anywhere else for a great recipe 👍
Thanks for the suggestion. We made this tonight. Turned out great.
Recipe looks great, gunna give this one a shot.
Small nitpick, don't stick chopsticks into your rice. It's reminiscent of incense at an altar and is generally considered bad luck and inviting death/misfortune to the meal. It's safe to lay them across a free portion of the plate or next to the meal.
How do you not know that you'll be roasted for not chopping your own veggies?? Paying money for pre-diced veggies is one of the laziest things I've ever seen.
