Driving from LaGuardia to south NJ in a rental car with my family. Taking one of these two proposed routes… is there anywhere we can stop and get some NY style pizza along either route? preferably a spot we can pickup a pie and keep driving? i realize this is a dumb question and there are probably hundreds of places….but its very difficult for a Midwest dummy like me to determine whats what. Thank you!

L&B pizza, south brooklyn. close enough to the bridge
F&F, close to the BQE in Brooklyn.

You said it, if you pulled off any exit and went to the highest rated pizza place in that area you’d get good pizza. You’ll get good pizza in nj too
Luigis, L&B, Lucia. All are about 15 min detour.
Gino’s in Bay Ridge, Andrew Bellucci’s in Astoria
Williamsburg Pizza is the answer, fairly easy on/off BQE
Luigi’s in south Brooklyn. Call ahead and pick up. Cash only.
If you take the Tri-Boro Bridge, you can hit Patsy’s. Then cut across upper Manhattan and avoid the Cross Bronx (which I advise avoiding).
Why are you flying in to LGA instead of EWR if you are heading to South Jersey. Even Trenton has an airport. I would suggest Luigi’s because you might find parking and it is not to much of a detour.
Deninos in Staten Island. Besides all the normal stuff get the clam pie.
Get some Italian ices at Ralphs across the street afterwords
1000% L&B Spumoni gardens in BK!! The OG location not the Dumbo one. Have done this drive a ton growing up and we’d always stop at L&B, it’s the best
Within 15 minutes of LaGuardia and barely off both potential routes you have good pizza in Astoria at [Rosario’s](https://share.google/XlcAYAvQpxe5bgNnU) and [Andrew Bellucci’s](https://maps.app.goo.gl/tsT5MQAQw4LFzjuJ9).
Joe & Pat’s on Victory Blvd is 100% the move. Get a regular pie and a vodka pie.

Another vote for L&B make sure you get the square.
Staten Island is the move here
u can pick up lucalis pizza if u order over the phone
You can order a pizza over the phone from Mano’s in Ridgewood when you land (depending on timing of course) and pick it up on your way out – it’s about 20 mins from LaGuardia! If you take the primarily Jersey route, you could stop at Renato’s Pizza Masters in Jersey City
My personal favorite is Pizza Wagon in Bay Ridge, it’s classic ny style and they’re one of those places that has been opened forever so you know it should be pretty good. They make my favorite sicilian slice now
Julianna’s under the Brooklyn bridge. Easy access from the BQE.
Drive through Jersey.
Did luigis. Incredible
After you pick up the rental, take a very short drive *east* to Amore Pizza. Just a few minutes away. It’s right off the Whitestone Expressway. One of the best in Queens. And easy parking in the parking lot. Just be aware it’s cash only.
[Amore Pizza](https://maps.apple.com/place?address=3030%20Stratton%20StFlushing,%20NY%2011354United%20States&coordinate=40.769391,-73.834174&name=Amore%20Pizzeria&place-id=IB1D752C54EAD50D6&map=explore)
From there, set your route. You’ll have easy access to a bunch of highways.
