For nearly two decades, MezzaNotte Ristorante in Guilderland has been a cherished spot for Italian cuisine, special celebrations, and warm hospitality.
Now, after 18 years in business, the family-run restaurant is preparing to serve its final meals. The beloved restaurant will permanently close on Saturday, April 12, owner Connie Ware announced on Facebook.
“After 18 years of owning and running a successful restaurant, it’s time to retire,” Ware wrote. “I’ve loved serving and seeing the smiling faces that have visited us at MezzaNotte and will miss the friendship and warmth shown to us by you wonderful people.”
She also expressed gratitude for her staff, who helped make the restaurant what it is today: “Many thanks to my hardworking and caring staff, without whom we would not have achieved everything that we have.”

News of the closing has sparked an outpouring of appreciation and bittersweet farewells from longtime patrons.
“So many fond memories of special dinners (and those duck meatballs—every single time!) there over the years,” wrote Joe Esposito on Facebook. “Even as my wife’s health declined, everyone was great in accommodating us. Bittersweet, but here’s to retirement! Cheers.”
Another customer, Noel Liuzzi, wrote: “You and Mitch deserve to live the rest of your lives without the stress of managing your wonderful restaurant. Thank you for so many years of excellence and joy!”
MezzaNotte Ristorante will remain open Wednesday through Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. until its final day of service. For more information, visit the restaurant’s website.
