
Sauteed vidalia onion, sweet red pepper, broccoli in olive oil and Merlot and served it over quinoa . Then put the left over chicken in the pan and heated it up and added Merlot to clean the pan and make a little sauce. It tasted like God.
I found out my triglycerides were high with my last blood test. I turned to the Mediterranean Diet for help.
I have left over Merlot. I assume it is ok to use in cooking. I used to have a glass every night but my brain has no desire to drink anything for now. I had to will myself not to have a glass. A part of me would love one.
I measured out a serving of quinoa which was 185 grams and it seemed like a lot so I cut that in half. Do people have a full serving of carbs? It looked like it would be more than a quarter of the plate. If I am hungry later I will have some nuts.
I don't eat much fruit beyond and apple here a there so I am getting used to that. My wife washed me a bowl of cherries and I enjoyed them but was not hungry for 5 hours and it backed up my lunch which messed up my dinner. Now I count my cherries and grapes. So that was a learning experience.
Thank God I love sardines that could be a hard one if you don't like them.
I sleep like crap so I was having a 8 ounces of milk before bed. I switched it to almond milk. Is that ok?

Looks good to me. Nice to use leftovers where you can. I try to replace animal meats when i can so if i didn’t have leftover chicken, i’d turn to beans and/tofu. I did the same and have switched to non sweetened almond milk. Your cook looks nicely done.
Cholesterol is not easy to deal with and what is classified as normal can still be high for some people. Luckily making better food choices can really help with the numbers.
