Saw this when I stepped on the scale this morning. This is the heaviest I’ve ever weighed. I officially need to lock in fr. Wish me luck 🙏

Good luck! You can do this. What helps me stay on track is incorporating some yoga or walking into my day. Gives me something to think about rather than obsessing about food/diet.

I’m still avoiding my scale, so good on you! 💌

There’s no world where this is your weight and 1200 is plenty by the way. Make sure you are eating enough to make the diet sustainable

I’m slowly making my way to 1200. I’m at 1600 right now. I’ve been taking off between 25 and 50 calories per week to slowly curb the calories. I started at 200, same heaviest ever. This morning, I’m at 191. Ultra processed food is basically eliminated from my diet now.

You’ve got this! The first 3 weeks are the hardest, after that it’s a lot less bumpy. Remember to forgive yourself when (not if, when) you fall back into your old habits, just pick yourself back up and keep going. Good luck!

I remember my wake up call at the end of the pandemic. You got this. Just stay consistent.

all you can do is use a tracking app and be totally honest with yourself, no untracked nibbles here and there. they all count. one thing i do is pre-track what i’m going to make for the day. it gives you some skills with planning what to eat and makes you stick to it. also builds your awareness of what is worth it and what’s not.
i’d rather 2 juicy peaches than 2 oreos for the same cals

just dont punish yourself if you aren’t perfect it will cause more weight gain. move on and aim for consistency, tracking, and movement.

Please make sure you calculate your TDEE and go from there. Do it right from the start and you will be able to lose weight in a healthy and consistent manner. It might take longer, but it will be easier to keep at it.
I was 200lbs when I started my weight loss journey last year, went down to my goal of 160 and have been maintaining at 160 ever since without hating food or developing a bad relationship with it. DM me if you want any advice, and no, I am not about to ask you to follow me or subscribe to anything, just real, no BS advice from someone who was in your shoes, if you want it.
Cheers

I recently had scale shock at the doctor’s office. It gave me the motivation I needed to really get serious.

Back in January, I stepped and saw 240 or so
That’s the heaviest I’ve been since the last time I was 240, which was on the way DOWN from 285+…
I was nearly under 200 when I stopped counting for a few weeks. Work was busy, I was too lazy to cook and accurately count…
But I picked myself back up, and hoping to see under 200 soon (fwiw, I’m a man, so not really “1200” is plenty, but I relate to the concept and like being a part of weight loss subs)

Facing the number is the hardest part, and now it’s behind you! You’ll be glad you started now instead of waiting another 10, 20+ pounds. You got this!

The good news is at 200lbs, you can eat wayyyy more than 1200 kcals and still lose weight. Calculate your TDEE and you can definitely lose weight eating 1500 or 1700 or even 2000 kcals. No need to suffer needlessly. Even at 5’2″ completely sedentary I think the BMR is something like 1700kcals so you can def lose the reccomended 1-2 lbs per week on more than 1200!!

If it helps this is currently my next goal weight.
