This Mediterranean-inspired pasta salad is light, satisfying, and incredibly easy to make. Perfect for picnics, lunches, or summer dinners on the terrace.

🍝 Ingredients
500 g pasta (short shapes like fusilli, penne, or farfalle — preferably natural and matte-textured)
150 g pesto sauce (homemade or high-quality store-bought)
200 g fresh mozzarella pearls
250 g cherry tomatoes
6–7 sprigs of fresh basil
Extra virgin olive oil & salt

🥣 Instructions
Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
In a large mixing bowl, add the pesto sauce and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
Drain the pasta and immediately toss it into the pesto while it’s still hot.
Stir well so the pasta absorbs the sauce.
Slice the cherry tomatoes and pit/slice the green olives (if using).
Drain the mozzarella pearls.
Rinse and gently dry the fresh basil leaves.
Add all the ingredients to the pesto-coated pasta.
Drizzle with olive oil and give it a gentle mix.
Transfer to a serving plate and top with more fresh basil.

Colorful, fresh, and incredibly inviting. Italy’s favorites on one plate: basil, tomatoes, mozzarella, and pasta… Start boiling the pasta according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, place the pesto sauce in a large bowl, add a pinch of salt, and set aside. Once drained, toss the hot pasta directly into the pesto. Mix well so it absorbs the sauce. Now add: chopped cherry tomatoes, sliced green olives, mozzarella balls, and fresh basil leaves. Drizzle with a bit of extra virgin olive oil. And gently mix, enjoying how beautiful it looks. Transfer to a serving plate and top with a few more basil leaves. If serving later, store it in an airtight container in the fridge. Enjoy…
