So working at this pop up jaunt
And these raw burgers been labeled 8/1 assuming that’s when they were prepared for us to sell. It is now the 7th and I know personally ground beef go bad in a few days. It’s been damn near a week and ughh idk if I should sell these. Thing is the burgers mixed with Chautney has corn and shit in it, it’s desi / Indian inspired so they look odd but is that a MFing maggot ?

I haven’t worked with these people for like a month and everyone ingredients be looking foul.specially the burger. And I’m a sucker I be eating these. I’ll edit later if I get sick.

But Yeha are they good to eat, let alone sell to public ?

Making smash burgers with them if that adds any extra info.

it could be that color from the types of spices used but also oxidation. if it were a maggot, you’d see it moving for sure. but also typically you’d know by the smell of the meat. the nose knows. if you’re really unsure, ask someone else who works with you who has more experience with food.

If you wouldn’t prepare it for yourself why prepare it for others? It ain’t coming out of your pocket, toss that shit

From the looks of it, I wouldn’t feed that shit to my dogs…

Helllllll no, throw that shit out. If it was for personal use I’d say smell test and if it smells okay it’s *probably* fine, but feeding questionable ingredients to paying customers is fucked up

If you wouldn’t eat it for free your customers don’t want to eat it for money.

Smell test usually, but that looks like poop. No dont sell those.

  7. As long as it smells fine, it’s fine. Groundbeef usually turns grey like that

My rule for cooking for myself and gf is if I wonder if it’s good I throw it out. Cooking for the public is an even higher bar

There’s a literal maggot on the rotten meat. Is this a for real question?

There’s definitely a maggot on the right hand side of that meat. Toss that shit out

I think I’ll be OK if somebody else eats that

Please accidentally drop it in the trash

First off, what’s your definition of “burger”?

    Second, no.

Raw ground beef should be thrown away if it is in the fridge for more than 2 days…

Hell no! Ground beef goes bad RAPIDLY!

When you grind meat you increase the surface area exposed to oxygen exponentially as well as introduce ambient bacteria.

Freshly ground beef has 48 hours in the fridge before I would NEVER feed that to another human being let alone a paying customer.

If any individual wants to cook that for themselves, have at it, but you have no right to make that call for an unwitting customer.

    No one wants your danger-meat!

This is why I rarely eat out!! When I do I definitely eat where I know food is going fast or I have friends with restaurants. This is wrong!!
