Can you guys find Tri tip readily available in your area? Baltimore has one butcher shop that carries it.

Great pieces for grilling over direct heat to a medium or even medium well (for non sophisticated).

Yes plenty here in Colorado, that’s a very butcher cut of tri tip. I prefer the middle to be medium rare, plenty of end piece for those who prefer more done. I also reverse sear.

California has it everywhere butcher, grocery stores, and a lot of places sell tri tip sandwiches

Wisconsin here. I get mine from a local butcher at the farmers market. I haven’t gone out of my way to look for it, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it in the supermarket.

  4. I get them at my Kroger (grocery store). I just go to the butcher counter & ask. Sometimes they have a couple ready to go. Other times I have to wait 20min.

  5. Costco Business Center. Edmonton Canada. Always available. Comes in packs of 2.

It’s not too tough when grilled? I usually cube it up and braise for chili.

Real easy to cook. Almost impossible to mess up

Walmart sells it by me in Ohio. Of all places, they have surprisingly good cuts of meat there

I can find them at every single super market/butcher/discount store in my area. It’s so ubiquitous I’m not even excited by it anymore.

I used to find it way more often. Now it is much harder to find. St. Louis.
