My aunt uses biscuit dough for hers and it’s my favorite besides angel food cake. Not sure our version is an actual strawbery shortcake, mostly just whatever we can throw fruit and whipped cream on 🤣

Unpopular opinion. This is actually biscuits and gravy. Just swap sausage for strawberries, use sugar in place of flour, and whip the cream instead of stirring it into the gravy.
