







My favorite börek/pita, leek onion and feta cheese. This is made especially in Northern Greece but in Turkey it’s also known. The only difference between a börek and a pita is the language. 😀 Though adding nigella on the top is a very Turkish thing to do; I’ve never seen it in Greece.
This has become my go-to börek; mainly because it’s cheaper to do than pure cheese but also because I love it. You can also do it with zucchini; you need to grate, salt and squeeze the water out of it or you’ll end up with a big pan of porridge!
