I love the fact that you could, potentially, wander in.

    But no-one ever does.

And it has no security, high fences, etc.

When I made wine in Crimea, they dug ditches around the vineyards; and had armed guards.

You would have ended up with problems. No one’s ever around but everyone’s watching.

Happy you enjoyed it, you should go up to ‘beaux monts’ for the view, also hautes côtes got stunning landscapes.

Edit : AND PLEASE, BUY FUCKING MAILLE or FALLOT PICKLES ffs.

  3. Aubert de Villaine is the Godfather to one of the children (he’s in his 20s, now) I was a Nanny to. We went there once a year and saw Aubert & Pam in California, whenever they were here.

While it doesn’t have as much cachet as sitting under that tree, there’s an amazing little picnic spot at the top of the hill just above Champs Perdrix and Petit Monts. The coolest view of every major Vosne vineyard

Not having a bottle of wine with lunch in this setting is criminal.

Bike / wine tour of Loire was one of my favorite adventures ever. Scheming a burgundy to Avignon trip for my next tour.
