So far I have cut doors, and built removable plates for the deflector. It’s a hybrid build in a few ways. The left side is going to dedicated smoker with the fire box. 2 stacks are planned for it. The goal is either reverse flow or just standered off set. In the middle I will have blocker plates with insulation to section off the right side. On the right side I want to either go full smoker, or put in blocking plates and use it as a charcoal grill side. So think smoking a hog and brisket on the left, while being able to do ribs, chicken, dessert ect on the right with two different fires and temp setting. The smoker is a 1000gal smoker, that I will mount to a trailer, and have multiple blockable stacks. The fire box will be a 200 gal tank. And the kid, is my brother in law that want some welding experience.

That looks awesome! I had an old propane tank I was gonna turn into a smoker here, ended up finding one for sale that was partially complete already, still need to add a second rack and seal it up a bit/ re-weld some areas, but it works!
