Wasabi mayo sauce with a dab of soy sauce on top of the steak. Pickled radish to cut through the richness. I was feeling a bit inspired by The Bear and plated this up. First time posting my steaks on here, hope y’all enjoy.

Looks great but I’d personally be happier if you just gave me that cutting board and what was on it instead 😂

Spend less and give me a regular ribeye!

  4. but why’d you use leftover bathroom tiles as plates?

Great presentation, very classy, looks delicious. The bear growls in approval and eats 5 servings himself.

Looks good, only tips I would give are much stronger sear and more consistency in the plating… if they are all going to look that similar might as well perfect that. Nailed the temp.

What was the entree if I may ask?

Lots of hate on here but I’d be pretty proud to put that out there

Throw that on a round place. Swoosh the puree a little more and you’ve got it

I had an entire wagyu strip 2 nights ago. Weighed a little under 1lbs.
    It was marvelous

Looks good but I genuinely hate these plates and always have at restaurants I worked at that used them.

    Theres. No. Hiding. Oil. Smudges.

How do you keep it warm before it gets to the table?

I just did a steak almost identical to this one about a month ago.
You did good plating, but just some tips.
Its thin which is a challenge but if you freeze the steak slightly you can cheat some extra time out of the sear.
I didnt even oil my cast iron. It PRODUCED an 1/8th cup of grease for me.
I was able to pull it blue rare with a gnarly dark sear on the outside.
I found that slicing and then slightly searing the slices on one side was even better because the sear was so tasty and the steak was so rich.

I wish id paired with the radish and soy sauce and wasabi how youd chosen. Those were wise pairings.

OP this looks phenomenal and the plates are cool. It’s also a generous way to treat guests, hope you all enjoyed it.

Yeah I think the portion size is too big. How ever could someone finish that dish?!

I can hear the screeching of those plates throuhg the picture.

  19. Great job , looks delicious. I do have a trick for this lava stones , you can put a small amound of a neutral oil , take out cloth and wipe till it has absorbed and has a glossy finish . It will help with smudges and stains from previous use .
