hey guys welcome to another lunchtime review today I’m going to try this Park Street Deli which is an Aldi brand um of the broccoli stuffed chicken it’s actually just heat and serve it’s already cooked um but it’s boneless skinless chicken breast hand stuffed with broccoli and cheddar Al grotten um coated with seasonings it’s fully cooked perishable keep refrigerated this was in the refrigerated section at Aldi the Aldi we got to regularly it was literally right up front where the take and baked pizzas and all that stuff that’s where this was um it is a 16 oz 1 lb 454 G meal and let me let me goe and take it out of the sleeve because I know I’m going to have to anyway um let’s see uh 5 oz 140 G is a serving size there’s three servings in the container 190 calories per serving there’s your other information for you the only directions it gives is microwave directions so I just want to throw that out there up front it’s only microwave there’s no stove top or anything like that although you probably could heat it in the stove but I think it’d be more difficult um and you can freeze it if you want to just you have to defrost it if you’re going to do that so the directions and this is weird and I’m going to talk about this in a little bit more detail but I’m just going to read the directions right now so um using scissors cut open package and place place the chicken on a cutting board slice chicken breast into 1in slices place all pieces in a microwave on a microwave safe plate and drizzle any remaining juices evenly over the slices apply a damp paper towel to your dish microwave for 3 minutes or until hot remove plate from microwave and remove damp towel let cool for 30 seconds and then serve so I did not realize that I was going to have to let me turn you down I didn’t realize I was going to have to take this out and like prep it in some way um I didn’t realize that so I just saw it was microwaveable so I bought it I didn’t realize you were going to have to prep it so in reality this is not something you could probably do at work like to prep at work you’re probably going to either not buy it or you’re going to have to prep it the night before and stick the slices into um some kind of microwavable container so just to let you know um in hindsight I probably wouldn’t have bought this for this channel but you know you can prep it the night before then then it’ll work um so I’m going to I’ve got a couple things I’ve Got My Pan here here which is what it looks like I’ve got a cutting board I got a knife I got scissors and I’ve got this I don’t have a plate I’ve just got a baking dish I going to stick it in to microw wave it and I don’t know how you’re supposed to get this out of there without getting the juices everywhere so I don’t know I don’t know how I’m supposed to get just the chicken out without dumping it everywhere my thinking is I’m going to take this and I’m going to cut it across this is what I’m going to do and whether it’s right or wrong I don’t we’ll see so I’m going to take this out I’m going to take my baking dish and I’m going to dump out everything um except the chicken I’m going to try to keep the chicken in here if I can and then I’ll have to I’m sure I’ll still have to scrape some of the stuff onto into this baking dish cuz it’s going to get on this cutting board there’s no there’s no avoiding it okay put that to the side uh 1 in slices I’m I’m guessing this way make sure I wash my hands really good after this so it doesn’t look like it’s stuffed much I mean look it’s really it’s really not I did not push that out it was already like that it’s really not I mean it split but they really didn’t stick much in there so it’s really just all on the top so what I’m going to do is now cut it one more time I’m going to take this and put into my baking dish you would just put it on a plate if you wanted to let’s see if I can pull this over my hands are dirty dirty do that lay this in the [Music] sink okay and then I’ve got this pouch that still has some stuff in it so I’m just going to try to squeeze it all out on top and then I will get a paper towel and get it damp um and then put it on top of this pan to where it won’t uh it’ll cover it up so it won’t splatter everywhere [Applause] okay that’s about that’s about it so I’m going to get this into the microwave uh once I cover it up with the paper towel and I’ll be back when it all comes out all so here it is out of the microwave and I didn’t do anything except take the paper towel off the top so this is exactly what it looked like when I took it out um you can see it really was not stuffed honestly it was it it has broccoli maybe near it but not stuffed in it so it wasn’t really a stuffed broccoli but anyway I’m going to take this over the table and I’ll be right back I love it when I’m sitting here looking at this uh right before I go uh turn the camera back on and I see what the real thing look like which you just saw and then you compare it to what it’s supposed to look like well the image on the box at least looks like there is no really green broccoli in here and the cheese is not in little chunks like that it’s just kind of turned into this running sauce so I always think it’s hilarious when they uh when the pictures are nowhere near the reality um this broccoli is actually it’s it’s got some green color to it it’s very like a faded muted green you can tell it’s not that fresh like in there like that picture was like like they actually took broccoli that was probably Frozen and stuck it in there so whatever um it is what it is right so and I actually only see one like decent size piece of broccoli and it’s this one right here and that’s it the rest of it very small sections of fettes this one’s not too bad that’s the second biggest one and everything else is just these little teeny tiny like like little pieces of broccoli so don’t think you’re getting um a big old hunks of broccoli in here or anything cuz you’re not so I’m going to try a piece of chicken it’s got plenty of sauce on it it’s got some of those little broccoli pieces on there here we go I do to say the chicken’s good and moist um you have to have a knife just to let you know to kind of cut this chicken you could probably pull it apart with your fork but it’s just too much effort for me so I’m going to do I’m going to use a knife we live in a civilized world where we use knives and forks right so why not eat with them um the flavor is okay um I like the the texture of the chicken is really nice it’s very tender um you can actually tell it’s a chicken breast it hasn’t been uh processed or ground up and rep pattied or anything like that it actually is a piece of chicken I make sure I got a piece of broccoli that time it was a little bit bigger there are some there are few bigger there are more than a couple of bigger pieces of broccoli in there but um you can see they’re kind of pale compared to what’s the pictures on the boxes um the broccoli is cooked really well it’s very good in tender the pieces that are big it’s cooked nicely if you do happen to get a piece like I’m going to get this big piece um if it was anything like that last piece was even the stem part is cooked pretty decent it’s got some crunch to it but it’s not like a raw piece of broccoli or something that’s been blanched that’s barely cooked it’s not like that so um so textu wise I like the chicken I like the broccoli I like the the cheesy creamy texture uh for the cheddar yeah I don’t mind that part at all um I’m trying to see if it says anything else on here it really doesn’t [Music] I’m just reading the the ingredients really quick caramelized onions which I don’t I don’t see any caramelized onions in here there might be some I just don’t see any I like it that they’re making this big um point of saying it’s hand stuffed well whoever was hand stuffing this one must have must have been a a Monday morning or a a Friday afternoon cuz they didn’t stuff it very good my guess is they they take the chicken they slice it they take a scoop of stuff and put it in there um and then put it in the pan or put in the bag or whatever the um if they’re hand stuffing it the um cuz my all none of my stuffing was actually in the chicken which ultimately doesn’t matter but it’s still if you’re going to have it stuffed you want to see it in the chicken not outside the chicken I will say though I like the again the textures are fine the flavors are nice you really do get the chickeny flavor you taste the actual chicken the chickeny the chicken flavor um you really do get the chicken flavor you taste some of the broccoli and then you get the cheese so um I think the biggest flavor there is probably the chicken and the cheese and then the broccoli is actually secondary because you just don’t get a lot of it there’s not a lot of it here um I think it’s good I don’t think it’s great um I think when you get a bite of chicken and broccoli it’s better like this is a piece of chicken and broccoli was a piece of chicken yeah when you get all that kind of mixing together it’s really nice but they don’t give you enough bigger pieces of broccoli in here to really make much of a difference cuz you really it really doesn’t change the flavor cuz there’s not enough of it yeah it’s just there’s not a lot of broccoli there I do like the cheese flavor though it’s really nice and like I said the texture is really nice and creamy um it says there’s three servings this is literally like one boneless chicken breast so you know about how much you can eat if you can eat one boneless chicken breast by yourself which most people can um it’s not going to serve three people it’s probably going to serve I mean if you really pushed it you might be able to push this out to two people if you had other stuff but um there’s no way this is going to three so the serving size is not a suggestion for how many people can actually eat it um it’s just a suggestion as far as how many um how they divide it up for the calories cuz it’s no way three people can eat on this um I could literally eat all of this I could eat all this perfectly fine by myself um and again like I said two people if you have something else with it you could get two out of there overall I think it’s an okay meal I’m going to give it maybe I do like the chicken I do like the the textur I do I like the broccoli flavor and the cheese when you get it so I’m going to give it a three and a half out of five I would have giv it a three cuz it’s just kind of whatever but um they did do a good job with the cheese and the chicken so yeah I’m going to give it a three and a half out of five could have been so much better if they’ um just added some more things to it but um I think three and a half out of five is a fair number um if you’ve tried this out you can leave it in the comment tell people what you thought of it um I think it’s just okay it’s not bad just okay hope you enjoy this video thanks for watching

  2. This is not what I would have expected from the picture. I would have thought it would be like the Barber Stuffed Chicken Breasts, or the Antioch Farms. Even the Meijer stuffed chicken breasts. Broccoli Stuffed Chicken Breast is one of my all-time favorite meals. I've been buying them since the days of Swanson Duets. I have them 2 to 3 times month for either lunch or dinner, I make potatoes or rice, as my Mom likes the Chicken Kiev, so I put the chicken in the middle of either, so when she cuts the chicken, the butter runs into the potatoes or rice. I would pass on this seeing how it looks. Plus, the single stuffed breasts are $1.99, and the 2pk Barber is $4.99. This is too high for one chicken breast. Thank you Kevin.

  3. It would be just as easy to get the frozen broccoli and cheese sauce and chicken breasts… this is not stuffed but any means… I’m sure it’s convenient and it does look better than some of those celebrity frozen dinners but I don’t realistically see that feeding more than one (maybe 2) people…

  4. I have bought this before and you can just piece the plastic and leave it in the black tray and microwave it just like you did the burnt ends. I did it that way and had no issues.

  5. I sure would not want to have to do all this prep at work and then have to do the clean up as well.

  6. I’ve tried it it’s ok the texture is sometimes n off because they suve it precooked under pressure in that bag I like the one with artichoke and cheese candy spinach it’s delicious
