This is a “go to” recipe for me as a single person that lasts me all week for lunch and dinner. I usually can’t eat something serval times in a week much less, for every meal but this one is delicious. I make it once every couple months as I’m in the mood. It’s an easy version of stuffed cabbage rolls. Same ingredients, much less work. You can serve it over rice but I just eat it as a stew. Comes out to be around $1.54 per serving and freezes well.

Recipe: Brown the beef, onion and garlic in a big pot. Drain the fat. Added tomato sauce, tomato soup, and stewed tomatoes and chopped cabbage. Salt and pepper as needed. Stir and cover. Simmer on low for an hour or more, until the cabbage is tender.

Is there any other attitude to stuff cabbages, than sloth ?

  3. For making a single person portion: a roll of sausage would be 1/2 the price but 2x the flavor
