Organizers prepare for True North Music + Food Festival next month

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A new music and food festival is coming to town this year on Madison’s north side.

The True North Music and Food Festival is a collaboration between Lola’s Hi/Lo Lounge and the Madison Mallards.

Gates will open at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 27 at the Duck Pond.

Matt Gering, organizer of the festival and Evan Dannells, another festival organizer and executive chief at Lola’s visited WMTV on Tuesday.

Dannells said the planning process has been very fun.

“There’s a very fun community and collaborative process between the chiefs as we put it together.”
